Nectar matters
Small patches, kept well, carry a lot of life.
A single flowering shrub or an unmown strip can feed hundreds of insects through late summer. Recording what turns up on your land is how we learn which patches are doing the heavy lifting, and where the gaps are.

A pollinator plot is not only about biodiversity. It can become a quiet place to pause, observe and reconnect with nature. Watching a bee work a flower, counting butterflies on a warm afternoon, or noticing what changes week by week: these small acts slow the day down and give it a sense of purpose.
Recording what you see encourages you to look more closely rather than simply pass by. Many members share their discoveries with children, family, neighbours or a school community.
